Comix At Foxwoods Headliners

Donnell Rawlings (Thurs 5/9 at 8 p.m.; Fri 5/10 at 8 p.m.; Sat 5/11 at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.)
·         Donnell Rawlings is best known for his roles on Comedy Central’s award-winning and critically-celebrated “Chappelle’s Show,” as “Ashy Larry,” “Beautiful,” and numerous other characters. He hosted the “Lost Episodes” in the absence of Chappelle, was recently featured on MTV2's “Guy Code,” E!’s “Chelsea Lately” and MTV’s “Hatin,” and will next appear in the feature film “Percentage.”
·         His final performance of the weekend will be both hilarious and uproarious, as guests will be welcomed to “A Nasty Show with Donnell Rawlings.”
·         Tickets are $20, $40 and $50 in advance

Joe Matarese (Thurs 5/16 at 8 p.m.; Fri 5/17 at 8 p.m.; Sat 5/18 at 8 p.m.)
·         “Chelsea Lately” regular Joe Matarese has a talent for turning real life struggles into comedic gems. Matarese has made appearances on both the “Late Show with David Letterman” and the “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” and has his own Comedy Central half hour special. No stranger to the airwaves, he’s also been featured on “The Howard Stern Show” and “Breuer Unleashed” on Sirius Satellite Radio.
·         “A Nasty Show with Joe Matarese” will be the theme for his Friday night performance.
·         Tickets are $20, $40 and $50 in advance

Comix Presents: Theater Shows

Doug Stanhope (Sat 5/11 at 8 p.m.)
·         Doug Stanhope's tenth and latest album, “Before Turning the Gun on Himself,” offers a potent double dose of the abrasive and brutally honest brand of standup comedy that’s established him as a one-of-a-kind phenomenon. Those same confrontational rants have led to his live show being named “Best Stand-Up Show” of the year by Time Out New York twice, and he’s been compared to such fearless comic revolutionaries as Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor, Sam Kinison and Bill Hicks.
·         Tickets are $25, $35 and $45 in advance

George Lopez (Fri 5/17 at 9 p.m.)
·         George Lopez co-created, wrote, produced and starred in the groundbreaking hit sitcom, “George Lopez,” which ran for six seasons on ABC, before making his return to television with two seasons of his own TBS late-night talk show, “Lopez Tonight.” The Grammy-nominated star recently lent his voice to animated hit, “Rio,” appeared in “Valentine’s Day,” and was named one of the “25 Most Influential Hispanics in America” by Time magazine and one of the “Top Ten Favorite Television Personalities” by the Harris Poll.

Comix At Foxwoods Showcases

Brown Sugar DJ Party Presented by Tru School (Fri 5/10 at 10:30 p.m.)
·         Comix and Tru School present their first “Brown Sugar Dance Party," as they invite guests to come dance the night away to their favorite R&B joints from the mid to late 90's while rocking out to the sounds of Hot 93.7’s own DJ Bigg Mann. Mature guests only and zero tolerance will be in effect.
·         Guests are encouraged to stick around for the after party with Donnell Rawlings, or Ashy Larry from “Chapelle’s Show,” with discounts available for those who plan on attending both events.
·         Tickets are $15 in advance

Lamont Price Mother’s Day Comix (Sun 5/12 at 8 p.m.)
·         This Mother’s Day showcase presents headliner Lamont Price, who has appeared in the big screen flick “Overserved,” and has been featured with numerous big name comedians, such as Dane Cook and “Opie and Anthony” regulars Rich Vos and Patrice O’Neal. Runner-up of Nick-at-Nite’s “America's Funniest Mom,” Christine Hurley, will also appear, and Maya Manion will serve as host.
·         Tickets are $15, $25 and $35 in advance

New England All Star Comix with James Goff (Wed 5/15 at 8 p.m.)
·         James Goff, who has opened for comedy legends such as Richard Lewis, DL Hugley and Tommy Davidson, will headline this New England All Star Comix lineup, which will also feature Derek Furtado and host Marty Caproni. Furtado is best known for taking home the prize for Last Comix Standing Season 2, while Comix regular, Caproni, has opened for Russell Brand, Dave Attell and Tracy Morgan.
·         Tickets are $10, $20 and $30 in advance

La Bomba VicLuna Dance Party with DJ Leo (Fri 5/17 at 10:30 p.m.)
·         Luna Production presents VicLuna.net and Bomba radio’s first ever dance party at Comix At Foxwoods with DJ Leo on site to spin the tunes. VIP packages are currently available, and include round trip transportation, all-you-can-eat buffet, $10 in Keno, and tickets to George Lopez’s show at 9 p.m.
·         Surprise giveaways and much more will also be part of this special, one-of-a-kind night. Dance party tickets are available for just $20, or for only $10 if you present a ticket stub from Lopez’s show.

Louie Bello Concert & After Party (Sat 5/18 at 10:30 p.m.)
·         This official “Battle of the Badges” after-party will dedicate part of the proceeds to “Work Vessels for Vets” and the “Alliance for Living.” The night will feature Louie Bello, one of the best unsigned singer-songwriters the world has seen. People have proclaimed him the “King of Hustle” and the “King of The Pen” because of his unstoppable drive to market himself and take over the entertainment industry.

Jim Spinnato’s R-Rated Hypnotic Hysteria (Sun 5/19 at 8 p.m.)
·         New England’s premier stage hypnotist and comedian, Jim Spinnato, will hypnotize fellow audience members, creating hysterical R-rated situations and providing laughs for all. Spinnato is an accomplished stage hypnotist who has been entertaining crowds since the mid ’90s, while performing up and down the East Coast for corporate events, college crowds and at casinos.
·         Tickets are $15, $25 and $35 in advance
