Comix At Foxwoods Headliners
April Macie (Thurs 7/4 at 8 p.m.; Fri 7/5 at 8 p.m.; Sat 7/6 at 8 p.m. & 10:30 p.m.)
· April Macie travels the world collecting stories and experiences, and translates them into humorous, relatable tales for audiences worldwide. A finalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” in 2006, she has appeared on E!, Sirius and XM Radio, and HLN, as well as “Access Hollywood” and “Talk Soup.” She was also labeled an “emerging talent to watch” at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in 2005 by The Hollywood Reporter.
· Macie will close out the weekend with a final uproarious performance, as Comix presents “A Nasty Show with April Macie” for her second Saturday night show.

Tone Bell (Thurs 7/11 at 8 p.m.; Fri 7/12 at 8 p.m.; Sat 7/13 at 8 p.m. & 10:30 p.m.)
· Tone Bell, winner of NBC’s “Stand Up for Diversity” in 2011, was recently voted one of the Funniest Comics in Texas. Further proving his growing notoriety, Bell was invited to both the 2012 Charleston and Bridgetown Comedy Festivals, and was highlighted at the 2012 NACA Kick-off Showcase, along with slanging a few jokes during the NBC Universal Showcase.
· Bell will close out the weekend with an especially uproarious performance, as Comix presents “A Nasty Show with Tone Bell” for his final show.

Comix Presents: Theater Shows
Cedric ‘The Entertainer’ (Fri 7/12 at 9 p.m.)
· Best known for performances in hit films like “Barbershop,” “Be Cool,” “Madagascar” and “Intolerable Cruelty,” Cedric ‘The Entertainer’s’ first-ever HBO comedy special, "Cedric The Entertainer: Taking You Higher," was the network’s highest rated special in 2006. He also starred in and produced the box office hit, “Johnson Family Vacation.” He made his directorial debut in 2009, and is now developing and producing future films with his own production company, A Bird And A Bear Entertainment.

Whitney Cummings (Sat 7/20 at 8 p.m.)
· Comedian, actor, writer and producer, Whitney Cummings, co-created and co-wrote the CBS comedy, “2 Broke Girls,” with Michael Patrick King, which will return this Fall for a third season. Cummings also wrote, produced and starred in her autobiographical sitcom, “Whitney,” which aired on NBC for two seasons. In 2007, Cummings was named one of Variety's “Top 10 Comics to Watch,” and named one of Entertainment Weekly’s "Comedy Stars of Tomorrow" in 2009. On the big screen, she co-starred in "Made of Honor," and she regularly appears on E!’s “Chelsea Lately.”

John Moses and Comix Friends (Wed 7/3 at 8 p.m.)
· Headliner John Moses can be heard on Sirius XM Satellite Radio's Raw Dog Comedy channel, while his comedy album, “On The Edge,” which he recorded at Comix, was featured as one of the top 10 comedy albums of 2012 on LaughSpin.com. Moses writes, produces, stars in and publishes his own short films, and is a fixture at world-class comedy festivals, including The Great Canadian Laugh Off and The Boston Comedy Festival.

All White Affair DJ Party (Wed 7/3 at 10 p.m.)
· Tru School's annual All White Affair DJ Party will bring in Independence Day in style, as guests are encouraged to show off their summer tans in all white clothing. Celebrating the birthday of Tru School owner, Marlon, this is a fan favorite, as last year's party had almost 450 people in the building. Music will be spun by Hot 93.7’s own resident spinner, DJ Bigg Mann.

Latino Comix & DJ Party (Fri 7/5 at 10:30 p.m.)
· VicLuna.net and Comix present the Latino Comix and DJ Party, featuring headliner John Moses and opener Sara Contreras. The night’s events will be followed by the Ultimate Patron After Party, where music will be played by DJ Breakdown and Carlos Rosario will perform live on stage.
· Tickets are $20 in advance
Jim Spinnato’s R-Rated Hypnotic Hysteria (Sun 7/7 at 8 p.m.)
· New England’s premier stage hypnotist and comedian, Jim Spinnato, will look to put audience members under, while creating hysterical R-rated situations for all. An accomplished stage hypnotist who has been entertaining crowds since the mid-90s, he is known for his combination of music, comedy, hypnosis and audience participation, creating one not-to-be-missed show.
· Tickets are $15, $25 and $35 in advance
Best of Last Comix Standing (Wed 7/10 at 8 p.m.)
· The Last Comix Standing Comedy contest looks to discover the next big thing in comedy, and this “Best Of” showcase features some of the top competitors from seasons past as Comix gears up for Season Three. The first season’s champion and Rhode Island’s “biggest comic,” Brian Beaudoin, will headline this showcase. Beaudoin has opened for Brendan Walsh and Kyle Grooms, and will spend the weekend opening for Tone Bell. Marty Caproni will also perform and Mike Colalella will serve as host.

Rhana Pippins Reunion (Fri 7/12 at 10 p.m.)
· Guests are invited to a blast from the past, as the first ever Rhana Pippins reunion comes to Comix. Come and experience the nostalgia and excitement of the top-rated night club in New England, as patrons are brought back to Lighthouse Square in Groton. Enjoy the sounds of the era with "OG" DJ Bones and be prepared to revisit the best party atmosphere imaginable, Rhana Pippins.
