Free Admission for Military Personnel on Veterans Day @ CT Science Center

Announces Free Admission for Military Personnel on Veterans Day
Plus, half price for Military Family members on November 11


November 8, 2011 (Hartford, CT) – The Connecticut Science Center has announced that it will continue its Veterans Day tradition by offering free General Admission to all active, retired, and veteran military personnel this Veterans Day, Friday, November 11 from 10AM -5PM.  In addition, immediate family members who accompany these service personnel or have a family member currently deployed overseas will enjoy half off general admission to the Hartford-based learning destination.
“The Connecticut Science Center would like to thank and honor our military personnel for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good,” said Matt Fleury, Connecticut Science Center President and CEO. “Recognizing the broad appeal of the Science Center, we have decided to extend a discount to service members’ immediate family as an additional show of our appreciation.”
In addition to the more than 150 hands-on exhibits, the Science Center is currently featuring a special traveling exhibition Animation, featuring the Cartoon Network, presented locally by First Niagara that is also included in General Admission. General Admission provides an ALL-DAY experience at the Connecticut Science Center.
To take advantage of the Veterans Day ticket offer, participants must present proof of service at the Connecticut Science Center ticket window on Friday, November 11.
