The Saxy Show Live Friday, December 23rd - 10:00pm Special Event Party on the Tuscany Patio! 2007 "Southern Connecticut DJ of the Year" & creator of "The Saxy Show," DJ Roc, will be debuting his magically coordinated DJ set alongside Saxophone Improvisational Specialist Jim Pino Jr. live on stage on the Tuscany Patio. With a decade of DJ'ing under his belt and as of recently beginning to produce music for the masses, Roc has been able to rack up a list of residences and Guest Appearances that can fill a small notebook. From Miami to New York City, and all cities far and between, Roc has left his mark on countless Venues up the East Coast. Originally from New Haven, Connecticut, and being one of the most versatile DJs in the U.S., Roc has been known to cover a wide demographic in his sets, seamlessly and effortlessly transitioning from one genre of music to another, keeping the crowd on their feet, demanding more. In efforts to remain fluid, innovative, and taking his events to a new level, in the winter of 2010, Roc teamed up with Freeplay's front man and Sax Specialist, Jim Pino Jr. and created the concept of "The Saxy Show": a carefully coordinated DJ set alongside a live saxophonist. One year later, and over 15 consecutive sold-out events in row, the concept still remains a must see act - and they are only getting warmed up.
Saxophone Improvisational specialist Jim Pino Jr. could not have fit the glove any better for "The Saxy Show" concept, having played across the U.S from California to New York City. His career highlights include playing at the 2003 Woodstock Festival Mega-Ride in honor of the victims of 9/11, and recently, with his band "Freeplay," he has been a feature on Channel 8 News for their creation of the "Beach Jam for Breast Cancer," a charity event which has raised over $30,000 in the last 3 years for breast cancer patients. In addition to one half of "The Saxy Show" concept, Jim Pino Jr. remains the front man for the band "Freeplay", and is also a feature performer touring with various artists across the United States.
