MEET THE ARTISTS for THE STUDENT WORKSHOP and SPECIAL CLASSES
WELCOME KATHLEEN AND GABRIELLE
Kathleen D. Gaynor, a state certified Teacher of Theater in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, is the Senior Academy Theatre Teacher at Mariana Bracetti Academy in North Philadelphia. She is a performer who has extensive background in designing and implementing theater workshops in a variety of settings. In 2011, Kathleen received the Barrymore Award for Excellence in Theatre Education and Community Outreach. She'll be assisting with the Student Summer Workshop.
Also assisting with the Student Workshop and a variety of other theater-related work is production assistant Gabrielle Wilson. Gabrielle has performed in many productions and is entering her junior year as a Theatre Performance major and Arts Administration minor at Rider niversity. She was nominated for best leading actress and best supporting actress in Paper Mill Playhouse's Rising Star Program and in 2009, was crowned Miss Pitman.
FREE JUGGLING CLASS WITH JAMES RANA
Friday, Aug. 3 1:00-2:30 For ages 8 on up
James Rana, a hit at ELTC's fundraiser last fall, has captivated audiences in North America and Europe with his slight-of-hand and juggling. His varied accomplishments include performing for the Big Apple Circus, to roles in Law & Order SVU. James wrote The Poe Mysteries, which will have its World Premiere in Cape May before going to Ocean Professional Theatre Company in Barnegat. AND he's one of the six actors in the show, playing many roles!
AN ACTING CLASS WITH TOM BYRN
Monday, Oct. 8 from 6:00-9:00 For ages 17 on up Fee: $20
ELTC is pleased to offer another class with Tom Byrn! If you're a seasoned performer, never performed, or a theater lover who wants to find out more about how actors work, join us! The class involves improvisation and the basics of scene work. Tom has performed in several ELTC productions, worked with many Philadelphia-area theaters, and was a member of the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble for eleven years. Tom is playing advertising expert Ambrose Peale in It Pays to Advertise.
