An Evening with The Franklin Brothers Band in the Oasis Room
8 pm
An Album Release Concert with local musicians Jay and Carl Franklin and their big band performing their sophisticated amalgam of original rock, soul, jazz, blues and ballads, from their latest album, "Lifeboat To Nowhere" and celebrating the release of Carl’s new solo album, "Been A While".
For this intimate evening of great music, brothers Carl and Jay Franklin with their evocative vocal harmonies, Jay’s piano and bass, and Carl’s guitar, share their music with their 11-piece band including piano, organ, guitars, bass, drums, trumpet, sax, trombone, baritone sax, and two lovely and talented female singers.
Natural born performers, as much as creatures of the studio, the Franklin Brothers for the last 10 years have been working on their second album, “Lifeboat To Nowhere”  a pleasing blend of funk, rock, blues, jazz, and thoughtful ballads.
Since Carl owns Pwop Studios in New London, Connecticut, where they recorded the tracks, the Brothers had the luxury of time which allowed them to find the right musicians to play on each song, and lovingly and precisely create a unique musical experience with each song
In 2011, The Franklin Brothers Band won the "Best Blues Rock Performance" Whalie award for "New London Blues." In September, 2011, the Brothers were featured in the Song Spinners section of The New London Day, with a video and article by Rick Koster and Peter Huoppi. "Lifeboat" has received 12 5-star reviews on Amazon.com and two 5-star reviews on iTunes. You can listen to and purchase "Lifeboat To Nowhere" at http://www.franklinbros.com

Trans- Siberian Orchestra - Beethoven's Last Night 2012 Tour
7:00pm
Mohegan Sun Arena
$31.00
TSO creator / writer / producer Paul O'Neill explains, "I was always fascinated by Beethoven. Beethoven did not come from a rich family, made his way to Vienna which, at that time was the capitol of the musical world, and by the time he was 21, was recognized as one of the greatest piano players in the world by the likes of Mozart. By the time he was 25, he realized he was going completely deaf and if he had just crawled into a corner and given up on life, nobody would have judged him harshly. But instead he went on to write some of the greatest music that has ever been created, music that would bring joy, happiness, peace to countless billions of people but, that he himself would never hear."
O'Neill created a theatrical experience that combined with arena Rock takes this new genre to unprecedented levels.

JT Hodges
7:00pm
The Wolf Den, Mohegan Sun
Hunt You Down, JT Hodges
For his first single, JT Hodges has come out of the gate with a song about hunting. It does not involve bird calls or camouflage, but rather the most universal pursuit known to man. In a rollicking song that recalls a hot night in "Hunt You Down," catch-and-release never sounded so steamy. Country fans are wanting to hunt Hodges down too, after getting a listen to this infectious summer single. Besides "Hunt You Down," there's plenty more to be pursued in JT Hodges, the Texas newcomer's alternately tender and raucous Show Dog Universal Music debut.  *Come early. Seating is limited. Must be 21 or older. Times and performers are subject to change.
