Comix At Foxwoods Headliners

Bret Ernst (Thurs 3/14 at 8 p.m.; Fri 3/15 at 8 p.m. and Sat 3/16 at 8 p.m. & 10:30 p.m.)
·         Bret Ernst was most recently seen on BET’s “One Mic Stand,” and Showtime’s “Comics Without Borders,” in addition to starring in the feature film, “Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show.” Ernst also appeared as a recurring character on Showtime’s “Weeds,” and is set to serve as host for the new Oxygen series “Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too.”
·         Ernst’s last show will be both nasty-themed and hilarious, presenting a ‘Nasty Show with Bret Ernst.”
·         Tickets are $20, $40 and $50 in advance

Julian McCullough (Thurs 3/21 at 8 p.m.; Fri 3/22 at 8 p.m. and Sat 3/23 at 8 p.m. & 10:30 p.m.)
·         Currently holding the coveted spot of warm-up comedian for the popular show, “The Colbert Report,” Julian McCullough has proven himself to be a force in comedic circles. His “Comedy Central Presents” special aired in March 2012, and he has additionally been featured on the hit IFC show, "Z-ROCK," as well as a multitude of programs on both VH1 and MTV.
·         McCullough’s last show will ignore the line between decency and hilarity, presenting a ‘Nasty Show with Julian McCullough.”

Comix Presents: Theater Shows

Amy Schumer (Sat 3/30 at 8 p.m.)
·         Amy Schumer is the star, writer and creator of “Inside Amy,” premiering next year on Comedy Central. Coming off her one-hour stand-up special, “Mostly Sex Stuff,” which became Comedy Central’s second-highest rated special in 2012, she was then featured on the network’s “Roast of Roseanne” following her breakout performance on last year’s “Roast of Charlie Sheen.” Most recently seen on FX’s “Louie,” she will next appear in season two of HBO’s “Girls.”

Comix At Foxwoods Showcases
Boston Irish Comix (Sun 3/17 at 8 p.m.)
·         Spend St. Patrick’s Day in true Irish fashion as Comix presents Boston’s finest Irish-American comics, featuring their own brand of patented Beantown humor. Headlining the show will be South Boston native, Mike Donovan, whose work appears in the Boston Globe and Boston Herald, in addition to his comedy chops. Pat Oates will also be featured, and the night will be hosted by New England funnyman, Doug Key.
·         Tickets are $15 and $25 in advance

Caproni’s Comix Jabronies (Wed 3/20 at 8 p.m.)
·         “Caproni's Comix Jabronies” is a new Comix concept featuring funnyman Marty Caproni, one of the top comics in New England, as well as a club regular and fan favorite. He has served as an opener for some of the best in the business, including recently for Russell Brand, Dave Attell and Tracy Morgan, and he will be joined on stage by Comix friends Carlos Garcia and Thomas Attila Lewis.
·         Tickets are $10 and $20 in advance

Comix One Night Stand with Pat Oates (Fri 3/22 at 10:30 p.m.)
·         Get your drink on and “spend the night” with Pat Oates, as these comics hope you won’t forget their name the morning after this one night stand. Oates will be joined by Beecher, who recently opened for Andrew Dice Clay, finished as a finalist in the Joker's Wild's “Next Big Thing” contest and performed in the off-Broadway show “NEWSical the Musical.” Jackson, best known for his stellar appearances on BET’s “Coming to the Stage” in 2004 and “Showtime at the Apollo” in 2007, will close out the show.

Joel Lindley Comix (Sun 3/24 at 8 p.m.)
·         Headliner Joel Lindley holds many television credits to his name, including appearances on “Boston Public,” MTV’s “Half Hour Comedy Hour” and “Conan.” In addition to his time on the small screen, Lindley is also one of the most requested acts on the popular syndicated radio program, the “Bob and Tom Show,” while selling over 10,000 comedy albums nationwide in the past two years.

Mike Hanley Comix (Wed 3/27 at 8 p.m.)
·         Mike Hanley has become one of New England’s foremost standup comics, receiving numerous accolades throughout the region. His achievements include taking home top honors in “Catch a Rising Star’s Comedy Competition” at Twin River Casino, Jokers Wild’s “Next Big Thing” contest in New Haven, Conn., and “Funniest Person on Campus – Stand-up Comedy Competition” at the University of Connecticut.

Dueling Comix Pianos (Fri 3/29 at 10:30 p.m.)
·         Monthly favorite act, Dueling Comix Pianos, is a high octane entertainment experience where guests are brought on stage to become part of the show. The engaging pianist pair performs fan favorites as a surprise rock star pianist joins premier dueling pianist, Billy Musto, in this crazy night of hysteria.
