J.J. Ramirez featuring Isaacs & Baker with special guest Tom Kelly Saturday, December 10th - 9:00pm
The Cabaret Theatre$20.00 Tickets On Sale: Monday, October 31, 2011 at 10:00am. JJ Ramirez is known as "The Latin Lunatic." He has appeared on Showtime at the Apollo, The Apollo Comedy Hour and stars in the movie Latin Legends of Comedy. This comedy veteran who hails from Bedford Stuyvesant in Brooklyn, New York, has an inordinate ability to interact with an audience. His interaction often reaches into audience member's ethnic backgrounds and is done in a fun, upbeat, non-confrontational and hysterical way. Choosing instead, of pointing fun of stereotypes and disarming those stereotypes. JJ begins his show with a musical walk-on accompaniment while everyone claps to the tune. If you're not clapping JJ often stops the music, points out your non-participation and then begins the show all over again. His high energy, rapid-fire improvisation starts with music, goes to self-deprecation which sets up his crowd-work and makes for a very nifty forty-five minutes of funny. A new movie JJ starred in was released at the Long Island Film Festival a few weeks ago entitled The Cat Experiment in which he plays himself. JJ was also a writer on the FOX TV John Leguizamo show entitled House of Buggin. He is worth the price of admission alone, but also appearing along with Mr. Ramirez are two other comics. Al Isaacs and Scott Baker have spent years honing their craft and the result is a one of a kind experience that has audiences cheering. They are one of the most sought after Improvisational Acts in the Country. With ISAACS & BAKER you don't just watch the show, you're a part of it. Their fast paced off the cuff show can be based entirely on the theme of the bit and the vibe of the audience that night. An Isaacs and Baker show is based solely on the audience. Members give the ideas and suggestions, so there's no predicting the punch line and no show is the same twice! Their improvisational style moves from bit to bit. It's a show filled with call backs and catch phrases that your audience members or party goers will be using for months or years to come! Tom currently is the warm-up act for The View. He has opened for Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers and has performed for crowds of over 15,000 and 20,000 people respectively. His favorite was opening for a U2. When time permits, Tom has also freelanced for Live with Regis and Kelly, Fashionably Late with Stacy London and Head Games.
