Eric Anderson and Paul Bryant-Smith, two “Boys in Hats,” will perform on Saturday, March 10th at Hewitt Hall, North Stonington Congregational Church on Main Street at 6:30 p.m. This is a benefit concert to support projects at HELO Haiti, a small orphanage in Les Cayes, Haiti.
Eric Anderson and Paul Bryant-Smith are two guys with facial hair, questionable senses of humor, and great love for traditional and contemporary acoustic music…and hats. They play folk music from sea, farm, and railroad; great songs by contemporary singer/songwriters; and original music, ornamented with close harmony.
Their concert is billed as family-friendly featuring songs with serious messages and others that are simply silly. The evening will start at 6 p.m. with light supper fare, followed by fun and fine music.
Concert: suggested donation, $2 per person, $5 per family. Supper and refreshments will be served for modest donations. Call 401-322-1804 or 860-535-0379 for more information. Check out the musicians at www.reverbnation.com/boysinhats

Garde Arts Center in New London
Connecticut Lyric Opera presents Mozart's deliciously ironic look at the foibles of love. Presented in Italian with English supertitles and orchestra.
 5 pm
Connecticut Lyric Opera presents
Mozart's COSI FAN TUTTE
COSI FAN TUTTE (“Thus do all women”), the perfect opera for those who prefer their laughter sandwiched with a slice of wry, is a deliciously ironic look at the foibles of love. We begin with two sisters, their fiancés, and a bet—Will the women be faithful? Thus we enter a world of disguises and trickery in which the women—and Love itself—are put to the test. Mozart’s genius turns a farce into a scintillating blend of thought provoking humor. Presented with English supertitles.
Tickets: $60 loge; $52 orchestra; $40 front balcony; $32 rear balcony
