The endangered African penguin population has declined more than 60 percent since 2001 and faces extinction in the wild. In partnership with our South African partner, SANCCOB <http://www.sanccob.co.za/?m=1> , Mystic Aquarium strives to protect the species through research, education and conservation efforts in Mystic and South Africa.
